The Fitness App is excited to announce our collaboration with TrueMed.

With this new partnership, you may now be eligible to tap into your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for your membership to The Fitness App.


How It Works

Use your HSA/FSA in 3 simple steps:

  1. Complete a short survey to determine eligibility.
  2. Receive a Letter of Medical Necessity delivered from Truemed.
  3. Submit your Letter of Medical Necessity with your subscription receipt from The Fitness App to your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.

What is Truemed?
Truemed partners with merchants and brands to enable qualified customers to use HSA/FSA funds on qualified products and services that are used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Truemed partners with a network of individual licensed practitioners who evaluate customers' eligibility and issue Letters of Medical Necessity to qualifying customers, thereby saving customers money on legitimate medical expenditures.

How does using my HSA/FSA account save me money?
HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Because HSA/FSA's use pre-tax money, you're getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in their health.

Which membership to The Fitness App is eligible for HSA/FSA use?
You can use Truemed to get reimbursed for any level membership to The Fitness App.

How long does the approval process take for a customer to get a Letter of Medical Necessity?
The intake form has only a few questions. No live consultation with a doctor is required. If eligible, approval takes 24-48 hours. Truemed will then provide a Letter of Medical Necessity via email.

How long is the Letter of Medical Necessity good for?
Each Letter is valid for 12 months before it needs to be renewed.

What if my reimbursement is rejected by my HSA/FSA administrator?
Please contact team@truemed.com for assistance troubleshooting the issue. HSA/FSA plan administrators often have detailed requirements, so it may be as simple as re-issuing your Letter of Medical Necessity using the administrator's form.
