Here's a simple and healthy recipe for a pumpkin smoothie that’s perfect for fall or anytime you're craving something creamy and spiced.
Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe
SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (unsweetened, canned or homemade)
- 1 ripe banana (for natural sweetness)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
- A handful of ice cubes
Optional Add-ins:
- 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (for added fiber)
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 scoop of Alaya Naturals Vanilla Grass Fed Whey Protein Powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add all ingredients to a blender (starting with the pumpkin puree, banana, and yogurt).
- Blend until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as needed.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
